Add home-brewing to our list of culinary resolutions; recently, we received a DIY kit from Irish beer producer Smithwick's — along with a smattering of intriguing facts about the brewery, which just so happens to be Ireland's oldest beer-making operation. The company, which is situated on the site of a Franciscan abbey, which was built in the 1300s, just celebrated its 300th anniversary. It's American Craft Beer Week and craft brewers are hosting celebrations all across the nation. Since I'm a fan of supporting small, local businesses like breweries (my favorite is Lagunitas, by the way), I thought I would put together a quiz.
