I habitually pop a mint after using the restroom when I am out, so I channeled my inner sweet spot and hunted for the perfect mints to sit sinkside in my tiny bath. Since the candies would be on display, they had to be white — and for sanitary reasons, individually wrapped. Good ol' Pep-O-Mints fit the bill perfectly. I found a small glass dish in my cupboard, filled it with the confections, and placed them near the sink in my half bath. Guests always praise the minty treats, and I chuckle each time someone says they are going to steal my idea. Imitation is the best form of flattery, isn't it?

According to the National Confectioners Association, today is Chocolate Mint Day. There are quite a few chocolate mint candies out there, and I enjoy just about all of them. To celebrate chocolate mint day I thought it would be fun to see how much you know about the different candies. I'm going to describe them, and you tell me which one it is. Ready to give it a try?
At this year's All Candy Expo, Hershey's released a new product called Ice Breakers Pacs. The pacs are two strips of dissolvable mint strips with powdered sweetener — orange or cool mint — sandwiched between. The strips are heat-sealed and dissolve on your tongue.
Sound cool? Well the Philadelphia police don't think so. Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector William Blackburn said that it, "glorifies the drug trade." In fact, they believe that the pacs look nearly identical to heat-sealed bags used to sell crack, heroin and cocaine.
I must admit I didn't think much of it until I saw the powder spilling out of one of the pacs. Now it's too obvious to deny. However, the folks at Hershey's say that it's not intended to simulate anything and that each pac is stamped with the ice breakers logo.
The other day we received a few packs of Aura Clip 'n' Go mints and Clip 'n' Go Gum. The products, which are by New Era Brands, are actually quite clever. They're your typical standard mints and gum, but they're packaged in plastic containers that can snap on to your keychain, backpack, purse etc. Sort of clever considering I spend way too much time digging through my purse looking for gum.
So how do the sugar free products taste? To find out read more
