PartySugar and I love our Kettle Chips, from Jalapeño to Death Valley Chipotle. So when the company put us up to the Create-a-Chip Challenge, we took it head on, creating flavors like curry ketchup and fully loaded baked potato and uploading them onto the company's online recipe gallery. Perhaps Kettle took some of our ideas to heart, because its newest flavor and the winner of the challenge is — you saw this one coming — Fully Loaded Baked Potato. The other day when I went to purchase chips for a barbecue, I was surprised to see a new flavor on the supermarket shelves. Dubbed "a fiesta in a bag," jalapeño is the latest addition to the Kettle Brand family. Since I'm a huge fan of Kettle Chips, I grabbed one of the green bags — the fiery red jalapeño looked so enticing! To find out how these chips taste, read more
Both my favorite brands of energy bars are coming out with new tastes this Spring. Luna Bar has updated its recipe, and Larabar will be debuting three new flavors soon. For me, and the stash of energy bars I keep in my purse and gym bag, this is exciting news.
The Luna Bar recipe revamp includes a new vitamin blend to better address women's nutritional needs. One addition is vitamin D to support calcium absorption. The flavor and texture have both been tweaked, and I feel these changes are for the better. Look for the blue leaf tag that says "new recipe" to try Lara Bar's updated flavor. You should be able to find the "new recipe" bars everywhere by mid-June. Also check out the brand new bar, White Chocolate Macadamia — I found it tasty.

Are you a fan of the sweet and chewy Mike and Ike candies? From now until September 14th, you can be the "brand mix masters" by voting for the next flavor mix. You can choose from Smoothies, Lemonade Blends and Fruit Sherbet. In addition to voting, you can also enter promo codes - found in specially marked packages - that could make you eligible for concert tickets for a year, an iPod Nano and other prizes.
Right now Lemonade Blends is in the lead - that's what I'm rooting for - but there's no telling who will win. The winning flavor will join the rest of the Mike and Ike lineup including the latest "Tangy Twister" flavor and the good ol' original lineup.
Which flavor do you want to see in stores?
