Monkey Bread

When I was young my mom and I used to make this together on special occasions like Christmas morning and my birthday. It's amazing and perfect for breakfast or dessert. I was inspired to make it after SPM posted Paula Deen's take on it recently.

Lemony Rice and Tuna Salad

So this one is for you, Sica. I had taken pictures of this recipe a few weeks ago and was planning on posting it someday.
This is a really simple salad and I came up with the recipe one day when I had to make a lunch for the hubby and didn't have much food in the fridge. You can really just throw in whatever you like or have in this salad.

Black Bean and Chorizo Soup

Black Bean and Chorizo Soup

I adapted this recipe from a Rachael Ray recipe. First of all, she calls it "stoup" which makes me want to punch someone. I slightly altered the ingredients and measurements but the big change is that I added chorizo to the soup.

You can make this as spicy as you wish by changing the amount of or omitting the hot sauce and jalapeno.

Potato Salad with Tuna

It is my mom's recipe. Teco loves it, and so do I.
I hope you like it!

Remarks:

*I like "Hellmann's" mayonnaise, but you can use any other brand or make your own mayonnaise.
*I prefer to use tuna in brine, but you can use tuna in oil.

Giada's Carrot and Pear Salad with Curry Vinaigrette

I had been meaning to try this salad for a very long time and finally made it last weekend. It was as good and summery as I expected it to be (I love Giada's recipes) and will definitely be making it again before the end of the summer. I halved the recipe since we were only and had it as a side dish with a chicken salad sandwich.

P-Dub's Tiramisu

P-Dub's Tiramisu

So this was a fun experience for me, I have never made tiramisu before, so there were a lot of things I learned this time around to re-do and not to repeat if I were to make this again. It's super easy as far as tiramisu recipes go, and as with anything The Pioneer Woman makes, I would highly recommend making it. Mine wasn't the most beautiful thing in the world, but it was delicious!

Low - Fat Moist Carrot Cake

Low - Fat Moist Carrot Cake

I don't know why it's Low-Fat, but if the recipe says it is then It probably is. It is definitely moist though.

I've been so bored all day that I had to find something to do. I had some cream cheese and carrots in the fridge so the obvious thing to do was to make a carrot cake.

Kidney Beans and Artichoke Hearts Salad with Sun-Dried Tomato Dressing

Kidney Beans and Artichoke Hearts Salad with Sun-Dried Tomato Dressing

I came up with this salad this afternoon with what I had on hand and didn't expect to like it so much (that's why I don't have pictures of the first part of the recipe). I decided to share it with you.
This salad is so easy to make and you can pretty much add whatever you like to it. You can also use the sun-dried tomato dressing on a simple green salad with croûtons and Parmesan.

Bacon and Macaroni Salad

Bacon and Macaroni Salad

Tomorrow I am going to a "picnic" for the music ministry for my mother's church and every family is supposed to bring their own meals, so I decided to make a side that would go well with fried chicken and potato salad (I know it's a lot of carbs in that meal, but it's a picnic!!)

This recipe is absolutely delicious (I snuck a little bowl of it ), and I think it would go well with lots of other main courses as well.

Okay. You don't need a peck of peppers to make this super-easy dish that will serve equally well as a main course or appetizer. Serve it hot or at room temp.
