i love his take on things, and how candid he is. it's the truth the way that he speaks about things - and when i was taking bartending classes, one of the big things that they taught us was to get the main things down, speed and accuracy and once you're a rock star with that - you can add in flair and custom cocktails. i would love to have him as a teacher - i know that i could learn so much from him.

I wasn't familiar with this guy but now I will totally check out his book. I definitely agree that cocktails are like baking...it's all about the perfect ratios.

YAY! I was lucky enough to train with him a few years ago. He is AMAZING! He's kind of a guru. Being a good bartender is all about mixing Art with Science and topping it all off with a big, sincere smile! Man, I miss that job!
