I'm really loving a Montes Alpha Cab from Chile right now. 2005 is the best. Thanks for the rec.

i'm sure that i've tried some spanish red - but i have to say that lately my favorite is a MALBEC - i've never really learned much about it in the past but i bought a bottle by a recommendation at the wine shop and i've loved it ever since. it's a medium bodied, not overly dry red and it's good with just about everything. i know that people make suggestions on pairings but since i'm a vegetarian, i don't go the meat route and i think that this wine is still good without being too overpowering with the things that i cook.

good pick! i just went to napa and went to a wine tasting up Mount Veeder. I really liked the Robert Craig Affinity Cab.
