I admit that I used to be ambivalent about figs. I was raised on and loved fig newtons (parents wouldn't allow oreos but these were a-ok). However, I don't know why but I didn't like them fresh at all as a kid.

So, in college, I was introduced to bacon-wrapped gorgonzola stuffed figs. Soooo good. Now I eat them all kinds of ways. Bacon and cheese makes everything better.

I just picked up my first ever package of fresh figs. They are so NUMMY! But I don't think that they will last long enough to make into recipes! Smiling

Verily, try the figs with prosciutto. Same concept, just a much more delicate flavor.
