TV Tech: Wacky Laptop Behavior
Oct 6 2008 - 3:00am The "home office" ain't what it used to be. You used to have to use a spare bedroom with some awful looking computer desk and truly boring accessories, but these days, when you can go light and laptop, the "home office" becomes something less obtrusive and easier to pull off. Of course, since you can use a laptop anywhere, TV characters literally do, and sometimes it's admirable, sometimes it's interesting, and sometimes it's just questionable. In 'Men in Trees', Marin (Anne Heche) used her laptop on top of her bed and I remember that when I saw it I immediately thought "I've got this very same Toshiba computer and no way you can use it like this", at least I know i can't, it overheats way too quickly
Anyway, there should be an "all of the above" option. What's the use of a laptop if you don't use it everywhere? (and yes, i've already used it in the bathroom, this was the only place I could connect to my neighbours' wifi connection lol)
