Seems Jamie Oliver and Ryan Seacrest have more in common than a shared love of spiky hairdos. They also want to help Americans eat better. The British chef is preparing a new reality show produced by Seacrest, where Oliver will touch down in America's unhealthiest cities and give its residents good-food makeovers using local resources.

Earlier this week celebrity "cook" Rachael Ray appeared on ABC's Nightline. She spoke about how her $18 million empire makes her queasy, how she's not embarrassed to promote Dunkin Donuts, her love of Anthony Bourdain, and her pictures in FHM. With the recession, Ray — who's known for her fun affordable meals — is extremely accessible.

I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview of ABC's new show "Pushing Daisies," and while it is an amazingly fantastic show, it's also the source of many droolworthy scenes — and I'm not just talking Lee Pace!
In the show — which premieres tonight — the lead character Ned has the ability to resurrect anyone with a single touch, he also has the ability to make picture perfect pies — a skill made easier with his ability to revive dead produce. At his restaurant, aptly named "The Pie Hole," Ned creates every pie you can imagine, strawberry pie, apple pie, rhubarb pie, pecan pie, and so on.

On Sunday night's episode of Desperate Housewives, there was a very funny party scene where crab cakes played a key role in Edie discovering Carlos' affair. While BuzzSugar was a little disgusted by this scene, it actually made me want to make mini crab cakes!
The crab cakes were served as delicious appetizers at Bree's baby shower, and they make a scrumptious hors d'oeuvre or first course at just about any type of party.

Looks like either the New York Post (and thus the rest of the food world and ABC News) was fed some false information, or Food Network has had a change of heart.
The folks at Edible TV and Newsday are both reporting that Mario's departure from Food Network was just a hot rumor.
"Mario is very much a part of Food Network" said Mark O'Connor, the network's vice president of public relations.
