Ever since Party suggested using wine bottles as darling water holders, I've been wanting to share an eco-friendly tip of my own. If you're like me, you've got a surplus of plastic clamped clothes hangers sitting in your closet. I often return hangers to the dry cleaners, as a way to recycle them — but I save the ones with clamps, and turn them into chip clips.

The other day we received a few packs of Aura Clip 'n' Go mints and Clip 'n' Go Gum. The products, which are by New Era Brands, are actually quite clever. They're your typical standard mints and gum, but they're packaged in plastic containers that can snap on to your keychain, backpack, purse etc.

I was going through the Yum Market this afternoon and I noticed that there seemed to be a lot of animal inspired finds. Seems like some of you think the kitchen's a jungle, or perhaps a zoo? Either way, I really loved it and wanted to share these with you.

When we learned last month that Kim Kardashian would be the next face of Carl's Jr., we couldn't wait to see what the reality TV siren and the fast food chain, which is known for its salacious commercials, would come out with.
Well, yesterday the folks at Carl's Jr. posted her first spot on YouTube, and it's a plug for the chain's new Cranberry Apple Walnut Chicken Salad, including gratuitous shots of Kim's infamous bosom and backside. I think the sex-sells-food concept is getting a little silly, and I don't really understand the commercial's resounding "get clean" theme.

Chaotic as things may appear behind a Starbucks counter, every drink is made custom and to order in a systematic, organized way. I know this because I spent an afternoon as a Starbucks barista. Laurel Village Starbucks store manager Deanna Barbagiovvanni put me to work yesterday behind the espresso machines.

If you were shocked by Audrina Partridge and Padma Lakshmi's lascivious Carl's Jr. commercials, then wait until you see what the company's up to now. Hardee's, the sister brand to Carl's Jr., has debuted "Biscuit Holes," deep-fried, doughnut hole-shaped biscuits that are iced with cinnamon sugar. To come up with a more creative moniker, however, Hardee's is asking customers for help through a new campaign titled "Name Our Holes."

To promote Top Chef Masters, which makes its series debut June 10, Bravo has posted videos introducing the show's chefs, an impressive list of industry names that includes Michael Chiarello, Roy Yamaguchi, Art Smith, and Rick Bayless.
The videos provide an amusing glimpse into the worlds of many of these acclaimed chefs. It's reassuring to know that Michael Chiarello has never met a Butterfinger bar he didn't like; that Wylie Dufresne had high hopes to be a professional athlete; and that Roy Yamaguchi got into cooking when he signed up for high school home ec so he could meet girls.
