When I say two chocolate cookies with a thick, sweet white layer sandwiched between them, most of you will immediately think of Oreo cookies. However, there's a small percentage of folks who think of the Hydrox cookie instead. The Hydrox — originally produced by Sunshine Biscuits, then Keebler, and finally Kellogg's — debuted in 1908, four years before the Oreo.

Finally, a new episode of Top Chef! Last night found our favorite fledgling chefs dealing with a seven course meal based on the seven deadly sins. First of all, let me say, I think this is a fantastic idea.

Before I start with last night's Next Food Network Star recap, I have a quick question: Would you actually watch a show hosted by any of these folks? None of them seem that likable. I once rooted for Adrien, but he's coming across as blah.

Even though I've actually thought I could OD on gummi bears, the phrase "death by gummi bears" sounds a bit ridiculous. However artist Daniela Edburg has made it look amazing, don't you think? In her series Drop Dead Gorgeous, Edburg features beautiful girls (all of whom are her friends, not professional models) dying from food related obsessions.

When I was little, my parents always threw a White Elephant Christmas party. I ran around in my Clara (from the Nutcracker) pajamas and watched quietly as everyone fought over the best gifts. The most memorable parties were the ones when my dad would let me pick his gift.
