Yesterday Restaurant magazine and S. Pellegrino announced its famed list of the world's 50 best restaurants. The list is developed by a large panel of well-regarded international judges consisting of 806 chefs, restaurateurs, food critics, and journalists.

In today's paper, I read that one of San Franciso's chefs was named one of Food & Wine Magazine's Best New Chefs. Sean O'Brien, of Myth, joined nine other chefs in the 2007 honor. After working many years at Gary Danko, O'Brien launched Myth in 2004.

What do Irish Stew and Ramen noodles have in common? Apparently Conan O'Brien can't make either. Unfortunately no one told the folks at Good Housekeeping magazine that Conan O'Brien doesn't cook.

Recently I have read a few interesting articles about the foods parents feed their children. There are those who believe that kids should not eat grown up food and instead be fed a diet of plain buttered pasta, chicken strips, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. On the other hand, there are an increasing number of advocates who feel that kids should eat exactly what the adults are eating.
