finalists for its 2010 cookbook awards. Among the finalists? Notable restaurant chefs Thomas Keller, John Besh, Marcus Samuelsson, and Michael Psilakis, as well as former Gourmet editor Ruth Reichl.

It should be John Besh not Josh Besh!
1Ad Hoc should not win. We cook at home most nights and have had difficulties following the recipes in this book. While it is a beautiful cookbook, it is not as functional as others. I love eating at Keller's restaurants but this book does not deserve any culinary awards apart from the non-edible layout and photography.
