2Well i hope that it's more successful here than it was in the UK. i seem to remember people talking about how it wasn't feasible for most people in the UK and that it wasn't even something that the folks were interested in. i feel like tyler florence tried something along these lines and it was ok...maybe JO will have more luck.
3I'd watch it...it sounds pretty cool to me. I wonder if he'll come to Milwaukee. I know Milwaukee comes up on the "fattest cities" list a lot...maybe he'll figure out a way to make brats and kraut and fried cheese curds more healthy, lol. I have a feeling that if he comes to Wisconsin at all, he'll have a tough time getting people to give up beer. I'd be curious to see what kinds of things he suggests to people.
4Well, Seacrest...Seacrest...he's one busy guy, is he.
As for the show, sounds fine to me, I'd probably try to catch one episode (to see if I like it enough to keep watching).
But hey, there can also be 'backlash' as in, hey, who's that Brit dude think he is telling us 'fat' Americans on what we can eat or not?
5Maybe JO will deliver such a likable and cool vibe that people will enjoy watching and taking notes.
I think this is a great idea. I also didn't interpret the shows topic matter to be poking fun at Americans. My take is that anything that encourages people to seek out and eat local, healthy food is a good thing. Particularly when it comes to changing school lunches where what is served should not even be categorized as food.
6While I am a huge JO fan, I too, am a bit tired of American bashing on any subject. We may be fat, as he claims, but has no problem taking our fat money does he?
7Given that he's already done two shows about the same subject in Britain - "Jamie's School Dinners" and "Jamie's Ministry of Food" - I do not think this is a British guy telling Americans they are unhealthy. I live in the UK now and trust me, British people eat as badly as we do and it is the most obese European country.
8It sounds like a good idea, I especially like the idea of working on school lunches. But cafeterias at offices and such could definitely use improvement, too! I bet he'll have lots of places to choose from. And as long as I don't have to see Ryan Seacrest, I'd watch the show
