Whether you're celebrating a wedding, honeymoon, graduation, or just the fact that it's Friday, you're probably raising a glass of champagne. Of course, not all sparkling wine is classified as champagne, and that's just the start of the confusing jargon. To help you choose the bubbly that's right for you, I've put together a guide to all of the relevant vocab, so you can sort out the doux from the cru.

The other day a lively lady named Anita visited me and she was bearing gifts: three bottles of Bubbly! No, that capitalized B is not a typo, she didn't bring me Champagne she brought me a new brand of sparkling wine called Bubbly that comes all the way from Slovenia. It's Slovenia's (say it out loud it's totally funtastic) premiere, estate grown, hand bottled sparkling wine.

I can't deny it, I love champagne. It's just one of those things, like painted nails, Marc Jacobs handbags, and vanilla cupcakes, that I wholeheartedly love. I find myself inventing reasons to pop open a bottle of bubbly and my desire to know more about champagne extends beyond the usual mmm-this-tastes-yummy interest.

I'm always on the look out for new gift ideas because it's nice to give something other than a candle. When there's not enough time to make an edible treat, I like to give girlfriends and couples this fabulous Champagne stopper. It's incredibly useful and not an item most people already have.

This past weekend, Bubblicious bubble gum and NBA All-Star LeBron James crowned three victors at the Ultimate Bubble-Blowing League Blowout Tournament. The competition, which was divided into three age groups: 8-10, 11-14, 15+, challenged folks to blow the biggest bubble possible. The winners were Marissa Chamison, 10, with a 5 3/4-inch bubble; Justine Muldonian, 14, with a 5-inch bubble; and Nathan Drosotoulos, 17, with a 4 3/4-inch bubble.

This new bubble scrubber ($4.99) makes dishwashing a little more fun. However, I can't help but recall all the sticky residue bubble wands left all-over. I mean, there was a reason my mom banned bubbles to the bathtub and backyard, right?

As Bravo's Top Chef Las Vegas reaches the halfway mark, the network continues to expand its Top Chef empire. First it released plans to shoot Top Chef 7, and now the network has announced that it's bringing back Top Chef Masters for a sophomore season.
The second season of Masters, which was the highest-rated first season competition series in Bravo history, will see the return of Gael Greene, James Oseland, and Jay Rayner as critics, as well as bubbly (and slightly bubbleheaded) host Kelly Choi.

Not only is my annual pumpkin carving party about creating cool pumpkins, it's also about celebrating the flavors of Fall.
To get people in the mood to party, I'll be pouring a potent punch made from pear nectar and sparkling apple cider. It's fruity, bubbly, and refreshing — what more could you ask for in a punch?
