I can't always find ground chicken at the store, so when I do, I stock up on it, and use it in various dishes. Last night, I busted out the wok for a spicy and speedy Thai noodle stir-fry, and tonight I'm using the rest of the ground meat to create a newfangled twist on a familiar favorite: meatballs.

Both PartySugar and I are fiends for cured meats as well as suckers for anything mini — so you can imagine our reactions when we opened up a parcel that was filled with pocket-sized packs of Hormel Pepperoni Minis! I stepped out to run an errand, but Party confessed she couldn't wait for me to get back to break into them. Were they as delicious as they were tempting?

KFC's Kentucky Grilled Chicken made quite the headlines when it first hit the market — and the media attention doesn't look like it's about to stop. Yesterday vegetarian advocacy group Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, or PCRM, announced its plans to sue KFC, alleging the chain failed to warn customers that its grilled chicken contains a carcinogen. The cancer-causing compound in question? PhIP, an amino that can be found in grilled meat.

A fellow Sugar staffer recently shared stories about her raw meat woes. She can't look at — or touch — raw meat without getting grossed out and feeling nauseated. In particular, skin-on chicken makes her skin crawl, and the juice from red meat leaves her queasy.
