Jamie Oliver, UK celebrity chef and gastrosexual, has announced the launch of his own bimonthly glossy, which will hit shelves this Thursday. The cooking star promises that his publication, aptly titled Jamie Magazine, won't be "yet another cooking mag," but will offer readers a "more personal relationship" with the man who is Jamie Oliver. According to editor Andy Harris, the magazine should make readers feel as if they are "being invited round to Jamie's house." So how does Oliver plan to do this? To find out,

Regis and Kelly Dress as Celebrity Chefs

For their Halloween special last Friday, Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa dressed up in fourteen different costumes, four of which included celebrity chefs. Regis yelled at the audience as Gordon Ramsay while Ripa's Paula Deen munched on a butter kabob that she washed down with a glass of oil. The real Guy Fieri showed up to cook a flank steak with the "chefs." Later Kelly licked chocolate from a bowl as Nigella Lawson and Regis overused the word "Bam" pretending to be Emeril Lagasse. The funny show demonstrates that the popularity and success of celebrity chefsdom is still on the rise. Check out the clip below!

The world's highest earning chef Gordon Ramsay was up bright and early this morning to visit Radio 1 ahead of his live cookalong this evening. After his previous one-off show, Gordon launches his seven-part series at 9pm on Channel 4 tonight. The idea is you download the ingredients list, buy the food, and then cookalong live with Gordon, who'll take you through a three-course meal step by step. We'll also be able to watch Gordon's prank on Delia Smith, when he dressed up in disguise and attended one of her cookery demonstrations. Samantha Bee and Jason Jones Take Their Funny to CBS

I love when my favorite Daily Show correspondents go on to do other cool things, and so I was happy to see this story that Samantha Bee and Jason Jones are co-writing a CBS comedy project in which they would also star.

Jones and Bee — who are married! I had no idea! — are also creating the as-yet-untitled show, which revolves around the world of a celebrity chef. Jones is set to play the chef, while Bee would play one of two women who keeps his cooking empire afloat.

I'd just been thinking recently that I'd love to see more from Bee, who's one of my favorite Daily Show correspondents but hasn't worked a ton outside the show. Same goes for Jones, actually, though he's going to appear on an upcoming episode of How I Met Your Mother. I'm curious to see what the two of them come up with for this project, especially since the realm of celebrity chefs seems ripe for comedy. Will Jones's character be more Gordon Ramsay or Rocco Dispirito? It should be fun to find out.

Guy Fieri: He's Off the Hook

Last week I had the chance to speak with Food Network's Guy Fieri. He's the host of three shows — Guy's Big Bite, Diners, Drive-ins, Dives, and Guy Off the Hook — and winner of the Next Food Network Star season two. Filming keeps him incredibly busy, but in his spare time, the celebrity chef — who prefers hot dogs to hamburgers and mustard to ketchup — continues to experiment in the kitchen. He's deeply passionate about food, especially food education for children, and encourages "people to get on the food train." Fieri and I talked about his upcoming appearance at New York City Wine and Food Festival, and I got to see a softer side of the "in it to win it" bad-boy chef.

Restaurateur Emma's Set to Spice Up The X Factor

It's not surprising that Emma Bunton was full of smiles after she appeared on ITV's For One Night Only yesterday, as she's got lots of exciting projects on the go. Emma will be spicing up The X Factor as part of Dannii Minogue's team, helping the Australian judge choose her three over-25 acts for the live shows from the comfort of Dannii's St Tropez hideaway. Kimberley Walsh is joining Cheryl, Sinitta is there for Simon, and Westlife's Shane Filan has been announced as Louis's helper, while an ITV spokeswoman has also confirmed Britney will perform on the show. Woop!

If all this isn't enough excitement for Emma, the Spice Girl also plans to heat things up with partner Jade Jones by opening a restaurant in London together. Looks like Emma will be swapping notes with fellow Spice Girl Victoria about their food ventures.

Celebrity Chef Barbie: Love It or Hate It?

Little girls who look up to Giada De Laurentiis and Rachael Ray can now play kitchen with the I Can Be TV Chef Playset Barbie ($44.90). Barbie is the star of her own cooking show, complete with a state-of-the-art kitchen and workstation. She shows that even while cooking, one should look stylish and fashionable. While I'm sure I would have loved this doll when I was young, I can't help but wonder if the celebrity chef phenomenon has gotten a little out of control. What do you think?
