Cheesus Lives!

Most people find Jesus at church, but Steve Cragg found Jesus in a Cheeto. While snacking down one day, the youth director at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church in Houston noticed that his Cheeto resembled Jesus.

The find, which has been dubbed "Cheesus" lives prominently on Cragg's bookcase. When asked about it, Cragg said:

If you're looking for God in different places, you can find God in different places. I don't think God makes Cheetos that look like Jesus. I'm not sure he does grilled cheese sandwiches that look like the Virgin Mary. I do know that God reveals himself to us in a lot of different ways.

So although he doesn't make them shaped like Jesus, God apparently reveals himself in Cheetos.

What I'm wondering is, if an Illinois-shaped cornflake can sell for over a thousand dollars, how much Cragg would get for his find?

Japan's New Snack: Strawberry Cheetos

When I think of Cheetos, I think of crunchy cheesy goodness that turns your fingers bright orange. I do not think of strawberry or chocolate. However, the folks at Frito-Lay in Japan apparently do. These Strawberry Cheetos have just hit the shelves in Tokyo. I think they sound a bit intriguing, they're essential plain cheetos with a strawberry frosting. I'm pretty sure there isn't a cheese flavoring, although fruit and cheese go well together so I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

Oh and if you're wondering why strawberry and not chocolate? Well, it's simple, they already have a chocolate version.

Make Room For the Top Chef Cookbook

If you're one of those folks who can't get enough of Top Chef, you'll be thrilled to hear that Bravo Media is teaming up with Chronicle Books to release Top Chef: The Cookbook ($29.95). The hardcover tome is 256 pages long and features 100 recipes from the first three seasons, including Elimination and Quick-Fire challenges. There have been some pretty tasty-looking recipes, but I want to know, will it include Mikey from Season Two's weird Cheeto/Snickers concoction?

In addition to the recipes, the book will contain in-depth interviews with contestants and judges; discussion with the crew revealing the inner-workings of the show; photos from behind the scenes; and more. The foreword is not surprisingly written by head judge Tom Colicchio.

If you're excited, you're going to have to calm yourself for a while, the cookbook doesn't hit shelves until this Spring.
