If you weren't able to locate a case of Coke on your last trip to Costco, don't worry — you aren't going crazy. Yesterday, the wholesale club confirmed that it is no longer carrying Coca-Cola products in stores nationwide.
The Washington-based wholesaler is currently in the middle of a dispute with the Coca-Cola Co.

Have you ever thought to yourself, I could really use a cocktail right now, only to realize that your liquor cabinet is empty except for that random bottle of Amaretto? Instead of running to the corner store or the nearest bar, take a tip from the Spanish and make kalimotxo. While the name sounds exotic, the ingredients — coca-cola and red wine — are probably already in your kitchen.

For the first time ever, Coca-Cola will release a line of special cans that celebrate Summer. On the collector's cans, the signature logo is incorporated into fun images of Summer that include a surfboard, barbecue, and aviator sunglasses. Good news for you soda fountain lovers: Coca-Cola plans to introduce a machine that dispenses 100 flavors.
The new unit, which will reportedly have a beta launch in early 2009, will remain the same size as an eight-valve soda machine by using highly concentrated ingredients to store more beverages. According to the company, switching in a new drink for the 100-flavor units will be "as easy as changing a print cartridge."

I've been carrying around a ripped-out page of Martha Stewart Living — with a recipe for vanilla rum colas — since the September issue of the magazine came out. I finally got to mixing the drinks this weekend because they were the perfect cocktail to pair with Oscars!
The recipe is a simple classic — basically it's a rum and coke — with a twist.
