Nov 17 2009 - 10:15am If you weren't able to locate a case of Coke on your last trip to Costco, don't worry — you aren't going crazy. Yesterday, the wholesale club confirmed that it is
no longer carrying Coca-Cola products in stores nationwide.
The Washington-based wholesaler is currently in the middle of a dispute with the Coca-Cola Co.

nope, don't drink soft drinks.
1You have no idea how long I spent walking around Costco on Sunday looking for Low Cal Vitamin Water- FOREVER!!!
2lmao poor tiff!! I'm not miffed about it either, I don't drink soda anymore~ but it is unfortunate, the vitamin water samples were my Costco water breaks hahah.
3I don't live near CostCo, so I don't shop there. Kind of a bummer if you do, though.
4I liked the fact that Costco carried Mexican coke, since they use cane sugar rather than corn syrup. But I don't drink soft drinks anymore, so I'm ok
5Oh noes! No Coke? What will the masses do??
6Don't shop there and I'm always stocked with liquids anyways.
7Stick to your guns Coca Cola. Costco can fall off the earth for all I care. They are making so much money off of all their vendors, it's ridiculous!!! And they treat the vendors like crap. Pepsi and Seven-Up should follow suit as well. As a matter of fact so should Frito Lay, Budweiser, Coors, Miller, everybody. Yeah, Lets start a revolution!!! Stick it to Costco!!!
8I agree with dashypoo!
9I didn't notice! I shop at Costco but I don't buy soda there.
10no thanks to alll those drinks especially those with artificial sweeteners.
11I disagree with dashypoo. Costco works really hard to keep prices low for consumers. I believe that a corporation like Coca Cola is stupid for pissing Costco off.
12I work for Coca-Cola Enterprises. We are the end of the co. that bottles & dustributes soft drinks to Costco.
Costco has been an enormous pain in the ass for several years. They fail to understand that all parties to the distribution chain need to make money.
This started due to the offer from Coca-Cola to discount 24PK. for the holiddays. Costco is demanding the same discount for the 32PK products on a permanent basis.
The 24PK. discount would have delivered a good value to Costco members and turned a profit for both parties.
Let's face it. Costco is all about........Costco.
13Wal-Mart is the same way. I'd rather pay more for products than give money to these big box retailers. Look at how cheap WM's apparel is....
14Don't even get me going about Wal-Mart.....................
15When Coke makes a deal with a big box retailer, they have to be careful not to do anything that would hurt the local bottlers' business. Most soft drinks bottlers are independent small businesses that buy the syrup from Coke or Pepsi. The mixing, bottling, sales and distribution are done locally.
