The other day DearSugar asked me to check out a recipe she was considering making. While the dish — chicken lettuce wraps with Asian flavors — sounded delicious, the recipe was unclear and difficult to follow.
Later that same day, I found myself grubbing on Betelnut's lettuce wraps thinking, I need to find a better recipe!

While the sixth season of Bravo's hit reality cooking competition, Top Chef, is hardly half over, the television network has announced plans to shoot a seventh season. Casting calls begin on Sunday, Oct. 18, in San Francisco and end less than a month later in Los Angeles with stops in Miami, Chicago, Washington DC, New York, and Dallas along the way.

The biggest buzz all over the blogosphere is deep-fried butter. "Pure butter is whipped, then injected with different flavors, surrounded by dough and fried," described The Dallas Morning News.

By now you must have heard that Starbucks is closing 600 of its stateside coffee shops. Last week Starbucks released the official list of the closing stores with a grand total of 616 closures. The closing stores are company-operated stand alone locations; no bookstore, super market, or airport Starbucks will be shuttered.
