Today is World Egg Day, and I'll be celebrating by eating eggs — one of my favorite foods ever — all day long. As I mentioned before, there are countless ways to eat them, but tonight I want to serve eggs as an appetizer in one of my beloved dishes: deviled eggs. The basic recipe is incredibly simple, yet there are so many ways to display a sophisticated take on them.

As a kid, one of my favorite eats was a deviled egg. My mom went through a phase where she made them all the time — sometimes in small batches of one or two — and I was fortunate enough to share them with her. However, now that I'm on my own, I never eat them.

Pop singer Justin Timberlake recently opened his first restaurant in New York City. Called Southern Hospitality, it's a BBQ joint that serves exactly what you would expect from a Southern boy at heart: ribs, cornbread, hush puppies, and fried chicken. Many of the recipes are from his family's collection, including his grandmother's deviled eggs and pecan pie.

Today I'm all about Easter menus. This morning I gave you all a brunch menu for Easter Sunday, and this afternoon, I'm solving all of your dinner menu planning problems. Start with deviled eggs and spring pea soup, continue with a ginger ale glazed ham (I've heard of hams being glazed in coke, beer, and jam but never ginger ale, so I'm super excited to give this ham a try), potato, leek, and artichoke gratin (you know I'm crazy about gratins), and classic creamed spinach side.
