After publishing her first cookbook,
Around My Mother's Table,
Ribbon Chick Lisa Burton, continued her crusade to raise breast cancer awareness with
A la Pink, a breast cancer survivors recipe contest. Over the past year she's invited women to share their story and their best recipe. The winner,
Tina Herold and her scrumptious recipe, buffalo chicken cheese dip, were announced in September.Herold used her experience to open a wig shop that provides support and compassion for women with cancer.

Although I've made hummus with canned garbanzo beans a bunch of times, recently, I decided to experiment with a dried variety. The resulting hummus was delicious and incredibly rich with a perfect texture. Using the dried beans seemed to make it fuller and more luxurious than other any other hummus.

Instead of serving dessert separate at
my tailgate, I plan to serve it with the rest of the menu. Guests can enjoy a bite of sweetness with their savory nibbles. The
dip theme will continue with this delectable white chocolate mascarpone dip.

Can you dip it? If you are coming to my
football tailgate you better be able to, because the entire menu consists of dips! I'll have a smorgasbord of delectable dips and equally delicious dippers.

When planning the menu for a
going away party, there are several options. You can feature the honoree's favorite dishes, make the dishes that are native to the town she is leaving or the town she is moving to, or simply serve a delicious and comforting meal. In my case, I decided to combine these ideas.

I'm crazy about
any combination of melted cheese and tortilla chips, so when I saw
audreystar's recipe for chili con queso, I couldn't help but drool. Her recipe is part of a fabulous new group on TeamSugar,
Dinner Challenge, which dares fellow readers to make a certain dish each week.A couple of recipes are posted on Mondays, and you have until the upcoming Sunday to make the meal and share your pictures of the process and final dish. It's a fun group and could lead to some inventive variations.

I never need an excuse to eat salsa, but the fact that May is National Salsa Month certainly doesn't hurt. Not only is salsa incredibly easy to make, but once you've whipped up a batch, you can use it for just about anything: dip for chips, topping for fish, dressing for salad, and much more. Plus, like
nachos, this Mexican dish can be interpreted to suit an endless array of cuisines.

Welcome to the special
Cinco de Mayo edition of Name That Dish. Below is a delicious Mexican dip. Do you know what it's called?

Since it's
Cinco de Mayo, I plan on consuming a lot of my all-time favorite snack: chips and dip! While I could be boring and serve chips and dip in random mismatched bowls, I prefer to be exciting and serve them in fun little matching dishes. So, I asked you to help me round up a bunch of attractive and fabulous chip and dip servers.

The second I have
my new chip and dip server I plan on making the dish pictured below. Do you know what it's called?
