This stunning Victorian in Queens Park, London, which is used for photography shoots, features a beautiful bedroom and bathroom in muted colors, a living room with a bay window and working fireplace, an open plan kitchen with zinc surfaces, a garden and shed, and most importantly, lovely light. Forgoing a shepherd's pie ottoman or a Wimbledon coffee table, London-based architecture and design practice Fat created
England's Dreaming as a tribute to its native country in furniture form. The antique chaise is covered at one end by a mini English landscape, juxtaposing scales and references, prompting the lounger to "Lie back and think of England." I only wonder why Fat didn't choose a traditional English piece of furniture, such as something by Thomas
Chippendale; we all know that the
chaise lounge (longue) originated from the French.

During a housing shortage in England after World War II, planners turned to
prefab to help with the rapidly expanding populace. The Excalibur estates in the town of Catford (located in the borough of Lewisham in greater London) were built to shelter new families temporarily and were only expected to last for 10 years. Now, 60 years later, those houses are still inhabited.

Even though the lil guy (or girl?) is just a half-ounce and one-and-a-half-inches long, it'll eventually grow to be closer to seven inches and two pounds. This Chinese box turtle was born at the Bristol Zoo on August 12, and can live to be over 50 years old!
As happy as I am to see this newborn, unfortunately these turtles are endangered in the wild because they've been hunted for their meat or for medicinal purposes for too many years – good thing this one's safe!

This
hair color is not the only recent change in Lily Allen's life – she picked up a new dog yesterday! Meet Honey, the rescued pooch from London's
Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. The singer shared her thoughts on the pup
in a blog post last week:
Anyways in other news, I'm getting a dog from Battersea dogs home, I found her on the weekend, and after a visit from a rehoming officer hopefully, I'll have her by next week.
Forget
toting a dog with a hog, let her ride right inside a special compartment like lil Mini, the canine cruiser!1767522 I especially love that she's securely inside with her very own pair of
Doggles – her eyes stay safe as she enjoys the scenery of southern England. What a life!
