Although I already own one, it's the ancient kind that requires ice and rock salt. Since this can be a hassle, I'm ready for an upgrade. Can you help me find a new electric ice cream maker? I had an embarrassing moment the other day when bartender Aaron Smith of 15 Romolo was teaching me how to make The Last Word. Apparently, the reason my citrus juicer is really hard to close has nothing to do with the juicer being faulty and everything to do with me using it incorrectly! All this time, I've been inserting lemons and limes upside down.

To properly use a handheld juicer and extract the most juice, you should always insert the citrus cut side down. As you squeeze the gadget closed, the citrus will turn inside out.

Now that you know the right way to use a juicer, tell me: anyone else make this mistake?

When I moved out of my parents house they were kind enough to give me a wide selection of kitchen tools. However, the peeler I ended up with is older than me! After struggling to peel one too many apples, the time has come for a shiny, new peeler. Can you help me find it? Pizza Pro Slicer: Love It or Hate It?

The first thing I thought when I came across this Pizza Pro pizza slicer ($19.99) was genius!

Then I imagined using it. The scissored spatula looks like it might be difficult to maneuver. Also, what happens when you prefer a larger piece of pizza? Or when it comes time to wash it?

Still, it's an interestingly designed product. Has anyone tried it?

Discover the True Lobster Claw Game

I used to be really good at those arcade claw games. Like, way too many poorly made stuffed animals in my house sort of good. I'm pretty rusty these days, but I might have to start training again. You see, the Love Maine Lobsters Co. has created an actual lobster claw game where you catch live lobsters!

For two bucks - a pretty good deal if you think about the high cost of lobster - you can try and bring home dinner. They say the device is gentle and slow-moving, therefore it doesn't hurt the lobsters. But I don't know. You're already going to take them home and eat them; do you really need to ridicule them as well?

The tanks hold 25 to 30 pounds of lobster and is in bars all over the country. You can find similar models in Asia and California. But what I want to know is, what you would do if you came across one at a convenience store near you?

Wake Up and Smell the Oatmeal!

There are some pretty fun alarm clocks out there, but this weekend the internet was abuzz over a different kind of alarm clock. According to Scotland's Daily Record, Quaker Oats is testing a bedside alarm in the UK. Now you'll be able to wake up to a warm bowl of porridge or oatmeal each and every morning.

The device, which is called The Porridgemaid, contains a thermos to keep the milk cold overnight. However, once the alarm goes off, the thermos is heated up and in three minutes you've got yourself a bowl of breakfast. In our ever increasingly fast-paced lifestyles, I suppose every minute counts. However, I could see myself reaching for the snooze button and putting my hand right into a bowl of porridge. It also reminds me of the episode of The Office where Michael cooks his foot, and we all know that that was a completely bad idea. What do you think!?
