Are you staying in this New Year's Eve? If you're one of the many throwing an intimate gathering or attending a house party, consider counting down the clock with elegant salmon-topped potato bites.
Smoked salmon, cream, and grated potato pancakes are a classic pairing — but on a busy night like New Year's Eve, skip the labor-intensive task of grating potatoes and halve them instead.

With its oozing center and rich, mild taste, baked brie is one holiday appetizer that many people look forward to. I'm definitely among this group: what's not to love about creamy, melted cheese?!
While brie en croute (brie that's baked in puff pastry) is a favorite, I prefer brie baked with nuts and jam.

With the baking and gift-giving hysteria that surrounds a holiday like Christmas each year, one would think there'd be more drinks dedicated to Dec. 25. I've always been surprised that only few classic yuletide tipples, beyond the requisite eggnog, mulled cider, and spiked hot chocolate, exist.

A special Christmas brunch should end with a stunning dessert. Instead of serving something that requires last-minute attention, plate slices of a cranberry vanilla coffeecake that can be made on Christmas Eve.
It will fill the house with an enticing aroma and get your family excited for the breakfast.
