This week's bento comes from Makiko Itoh of Just Bento. Although she already runs Just Hungry, she's started a new site dedicated to bento. So far she's had a few how-tos, bento under 20 minutes, and a bunch of other great info including this guide to onigiri rice ball shapes. Be sure to check it out. I've never been to Japan, but with all of the crazy Japanese food circulating the web these days, I can't help but want to experience these interesting dishes first hand. After pizzas loaded with every topping imaginable, bento boxes turned works of art are the next most popular craze. Take the one pictured at right, how cool would it be if you opened your lunch-box to find an edible Hello Kitty??? The rice body and corn button nose are just too cute for words. I'm not sure if you can order these babies at Pizza Hut, but I double dare you to recreate one at home! Share the process and final products on TeamSugar so we can all learn how to make edible masterpieces.

Originally we had only intended to write one Peep-related post this Easter. Just one. A little guy that you could read and hang on to and chuckle about. However one turned to two, and two turned to three, and three could actually turn to four, five, six and seven. But instead of inundating you with Peeps posts, I've decided to round a bunch of my favorites into one list. Here we go!

A brilliant yellow dress made from Peeps.
You have to love the Peep-igiri Bento box. You can use the Peeps marshmallow maker molds to make your own! Thanks to Candyblog for this one.

Chef Jason Wilson of Crush in Seattle has created a menu with Peeps. Menu items include Peep fondue, green "eggs" and ham, Peep-crusted foie gras, Peep macaroni and cheese, and Peep-otatoes.
