Just in the nick of tree-trimming time, Coca-Cola has released a limited supply of 13.5-ounce bottles ($3), spherically shaped to mimic a Christmas ornament. The plastic bottles are decked out with the cola's iconic holiday images, such as the Coca-Cola Polar Bear.

For Halloween, Pepsi released a special limited-edition costumed can. Instead of the typical jack-o'-lanterns or orange and black theme, however, the soda company simply printed Halloween-related words like boo and ghost on the cans. Have you seen them in stores?

October isn't just National Vegetarian Month; it also happens to be the 25th year that America's celebrated National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I'm all for finding a cure, and being the gourmand that I am, my favorite place to support the cause is in the kitchen.

For the first time ever, Coca-Cola will release a line of special cans that celebrate Summer. On the collector's cans, the signature logo is incorporated into fun images of Summer that include a surfboard, barbecue, and aviator sunglasses. Since Summer is my favorite time of year, I'm loving these cans.

I was checking out the Easter aisles at my local Target when I noticed a few limited edition candies. While there's a sea of pastel coated chocolates and speckled eggs, the newest trend seems to be citrus flavored chocolates. Cadbury brought back its Orange Creme Egg — first introduced last year — and Hershey's now has both orange and lemon creme flavored kisses.

This year, Marmite — a cult British favorite — introduced a champagne flavor for Valentine's Day. The original Marmite is made from a yeast extract and is a dark brown, salty paste with an intense flavor similar to soy sauce. The paste is then spread on toast or crackers.

If you loved the snowman shaped doughnuts that Krispy Kreme came up with this past holiday season, then you might be interested in what they've come up with for Valentine's Day: heart-shaped doughnuts! The lovely doughnuts are topped with white icing and pink, red and white sprinkles and are part of their "Share the Love" program. The program also features twelve Valentine's cards for all customers who purchase two dozen doughnuts between now and February 14.

While the US candy market is busy shoving caffeine into its products, the Japanese market is busy making their products cuter. This time it's Kit Kat Lucky Littles, which is a bit like Kit Kat Bites, only cuter and cherry blossom colored. — Japan Marketing News
