Gourmet's annual celebrity lunchbox auction launched last Thursday with a party hosted by Mario Batali. The online auction features one-of-a-kind lunchboxes designed by celebrities. The proceeds from the lunchbox sales go to the Food Bank of New York City and the Lunchbox Fund of South Africa. Each lunchbox starts at the bidding price of $100 and the sale runs through December 18. While all of the lunchboxes are original and creative, I've picked ten of my favorite. Which Celebrities Designed These Lunchboxes?

Once a year the Lunchbox Auction has over 100 iconic celebrities from all realms (music, fashion, food, etc.) design their own lunchboxes. These personalized lunchboxes are auctioned off online and the proceeds go to both the Food Bank For New York City and the Lunchbox Fund of South Africa. Like the big personalities behind the designs, no two of the lunchboxes are identical. Each box is signed by the creator and the bidding for each begins at $100.

New lunchboxes are still being added, so be sure to check out the entire lunchbox collection to see what everyone's created. I've selected a few of my favorites and I want to know, can you figure out which celebrity made each one? Take this quiz and find out!

To make the transition from Summer to school a little easier on her daughters, FitSugar has decided to give them a first day of school surprise: new lunchboxes. I was astounded by all of the cute designs and cool technology available in lunchboxes nowadays. This Uno Insulated Lunch Tote For One, bookmarked by Shelleymonster, will keep perishables cool and has space for eco-friendly reusable utensils. (Maybe I should get one of these for myself.) There were also some girly picks that are less utilitarian but extra cute. Check out all of our finds below.

My little sister recently began her first job after graduating from college. To help her transform from college student to young professional, she needs our help. In college she would meet her girlfriends for lunch or snack on food at home between classes. Now that she is in the working world, she'll have a lunch break. She would like to pack a lunch most days, and being super environmental and eco-conscious she does not want to pack it in a brown paper bag. I thought it would be fun if we got her a cool adult-appropriate lunchbox. It doesn't have to be an actual lunchbox, it could be a small, fun tote, or a cute little pail so get creative! Last week I told you about how my little sister, Trish, recently began her first job after graduating from college. When she was in college she would meet her girlfriends for lunch, or snack on food at home between classes. Now that she is in the working world she has a lunch break for which she packs a lunch. Being super enviornmental and eco-conscious, she does not want to pack it in a brown paper bag. So I asked you to help her by finding a fun, cool adult lunchbox. I loved some of the bento-inspired boxes, like the ones found by piraterie and tdamji. However, I think my sister might prefer these stylish neoprene totes that were found by both gruaig_rua and mellie_608. They're modern and sophisticated, and will help her make the transition from college casual to office chic. If she doesn't agree, there are a lot of other items to choose from. Lego Lunchbox: Love It Or Hate It?

In my opinion there is no such thing as too much Lego (okay, maybe those Lego fruit snacks were a bit too much). So when I saw these Lego lunchboxes, I was totally into it. How fun would that be if you were a kid (although it does look impractical to carry). I wonder if you could stack them together, but I don't know if I'll find out, they're not currently available in the US. If they were, would you get one? (Oh and it doesn't come with lego hamburger either). Source: Gizmodo

Carry Your Lunch in a Tote for the Cure

With more and more people using canvas tote bags to transport goods home from the grocery store, it's only natural that this concept would carry over to brown paper bag lunches. Instead of packing your lunch in a paper or plastic baggie, pack it in a reusable tote, like the fashionable ones pictured at right.

Let's Dish: Top Chef 4.10 - Light n' Healthy

This week's Top Chef took another turn towards the catering when the cheftestants had to cook for the folks at the Chicago Policy Academy. In the end we traded in last week's wedding wars for lunchbox wars. We also got a nice dose of against the grain drama. Did you watch? What did you think? Check out my thoughts and tell me yours when you read more.

Once the episode started I got three emails from pals declaring their love for guest judge Sam Talbot. Are you on the same page as them?
Did you like the salad challenge? I thought Antonia's poached egg salad was total food porn. Even Sam said it was sexy!
I groaned a bit when I found out the elimination challenge was another catering-type challenge.
Do you think Spike spent more time trying to mess with his opponents than he did planning his meal?
You know, I couldn't help but think of former cheftestant Ryan Scott. He headed up Myth Cafe, which was known for their great boxed lunches. Too bad he didn't make it this far.
Okay the big drama came from Lisa's camp. Do you think someone really sabotaged her rice?
I thought it was interesting that Stephanie and Dale were the best in this challenge. They're both from the Chicago area and I wondered if that helped them at all.
Do you think Dale deserved to win? Who had your vote?
It was tense at judge's panel. Do you think it was bad of Lisa to call out the fact that Andrew didn't follow the rules to a T?
