In Case of Emergency Chocolate Bar

This Emergency Chocolate Bar is a little bit gimmicky (okay so it's a lot gimmicky), however you all know that there are those days where something like this would have been just enough to fix everything. The label says, "For immediate relief of: Chocolate Cravings, Lovesickness, Exam Pressure, Mild Anxiety, and Extreme Hunger." They'd make a great gift, but I'm imagining them under glass with a "break in case of emergency" label on them. Maybe we can get them installed here at the Sugar HQ...

Available in milk or dark chocolate, each bar is 3.5 oz and is made with cocoa from Malaysia, sugar from Australia and milk from New Zealand. I've seen them at Cost Plus, but you can buy them online for $4.49 each.

Off With Their Heads Lollipops

If you were one of those weird kids who liked chewing on your dolls, then you're in luck. These watermelon flavored Sigmund Freud Head Pops will bring you right back to first grade - although I'm not quite sure what Freud would actually say about the whole thing. After all, I'm sure there's some sort of metaphor waiting there... Each lollipop is 2 1/4 inches tall with a 4-inch plastic stick. I think it'll look really odd in your mouth, but I think the display box of 24 candy Sigmund Freuds is even odder. Oh and if you're not into Freud, you could opt for Marie Antoinette (hence my ~~ridiculous~~ clever title) or Abraham Lincoln instead. Box of 24 lollipops available for $27.95.

Clip 'N' Go: The Key To Fresh Breath

The other day we received a few packs of Aura Clip 'n' Go mints and Clip 'n' Go Gum. The products, which are by New Era Brands, are actually quite clever. They're your typical standard mints and gum, but they're packaged in plastic containers that can snap on to your keychain, backpack, purse etc. Sort of clever considering I spend way too much time digging through my purse looking for gum.

Turns out they're not that bad, just decent, if not somewhat generic. I tasted the peppermint gum, and thought it was quite strong, it definitely kicked my breath way back into the refreshing range. I found out later that it also has teeth whitener in it as an added bonus. While the gum was strong, but pleasant, the mints were a bit so-so. They tasted like your generic mint, and FitSugar thought she might replace the mints with her own. I thought that idea was smart, but I would never get around to doing it. We tasted both the peppermint and the cinnamint flavors, and thought the peppermint was okay, but the cinnamint left a weird aftertaste.

If you're interested, you'll probably be able to find these products in convenience stores, or you can buy a box of 12 mint packs for $19.80. They're available in spearmint, peppermint, cinnamint and sour fruit.

Sweet Expansion at Dylan's Candy Bar

Just in time for Halloween, Dylan's Candy Bar in New York City has expanded. An additional 5,000 square feet have been added, making it the largest candy store in the world. Opened in September 2001 by Dylan Lauren, daughter of fashion icon Ralph, the store sells more than 5,000 varieties of candy - from bulk chocolate treats and gummy candies to 21 different colors of M&Ms and novelty sweets such as three-foot-tall lollipops and candy mobile phones. A real-life Candyland, Dylan's is a destination for kids and adults alike with its candy-themed clothing and jewelry, a private party room, and a soda shop. To celebrate the store's expansion, Dylan's hosted a grand reopening party earlier this week that brought out the child in all of its attendees, including yours truly!
