Creating a memorable Thanksgiving is not just about serving a moist turkey and flavorful pureed potatoes. It's also about enjoying a meal with loved ones! To get excited for the big day, I searched the Internet for festive table accessories and functional turkey tools. It can be used for appetizers like nuts, olives, and chunks of cheese. A spoon rest is a handy kitchen tool that sits on stovetops. In between sautéing and stirring, it's a safe place to rest the spatula or spoon you're using. Sadly, I don't own one and the other day when I was making macaroni and cheese, I finally decided it's time to invest in this practical kitchen essential.

This Summer we've been celebrating in-season produce with a plethora of delicious salad recipes. Thus I thought it was high time we showcase a wide variety of salad accessories. From bowls to spinners to colanders to tongs to platters, a lot of kitchen tools are necessary to prepare and serve a scrumptious salad. Below you'll find a collection of my favorite salad accessories, but the item I'm most obsessed with is this urban picnic salad set. It's two bowls in one - a porcelain salad bowl inside a bamboo carrier - with a handle that doubles as serving utensils! One can make the salad in the kitchen and carry it to the table quickly and easily. How cool is that?

I'm going to spend the weekend at a girlfriend's beach house. To thank her for hosting me, I want to give her a new cookbook. Technically she's a pescaterian, but I think she would benefit from a book that focuses on vegetarian cuisine. I asked you to help me by looking for new or classic cookbooks that are full of healthy, innovative, vegetarian recipes. Around the Fourth of July, it's fun to embrace one's American heritage. I eat red, white, and blue foods, wear stripes, and decorate my kitchen with flags. To get in a patriotic mood, I suggested we head off to market in search of star-spangled kitchen gear that will last all Summer long. You looked for everything from pot holders to plates.

Although I already own one, it's the kind that requires ice and rock salt. Since this can be a hassle, I'm ready for an upgrade.
