In Case You Didn't Know, Paris Is Rich

When you think of prosecco - Italian champagne - you may think light and bubbly. And when you think of Paris Hilton, you might also think light and bubbly. However, when you think prosecco do you think of Paris Hilton? Probably not. Well folks, that's soon going to change.

Page Six is reporting that Paris is headed to Berlin to promote the European launch of Rich, her new line of canned champagne. According to the folks at Rich, Paris is, "acting as a market ambassador in advertisements for the Rich pleasures."

The canned beverage reminds me of Sofia Coppola's canned Blanc de Blanc and I really wonder how it's going to taste. Canned wine is becoming more acceptable and I think the idea could be fun. The drink has yet to hit the US shores, but should be here sometime next year. I'm going to give it a spin - after all I love the bubbly! - how about you, are you going to try Rich?

Kim Kardashian Is Latest Face of Carl's Jr.

Guess who's joining the ranks of Paris Hilton, Padma Lakshmi, and Audrina Patridge as Carl's Jr. spokesperson? None other than reality show temptress Kim Kardashian.

Kardashian is teaming up with the burger chain - known for its risqué commercials - to promote its new premium salads. It'll be the first commercial spot the company has done for a menu item that's not a burger. The reality TV star tells People that while she's a healthy eater today, she has a number of fond memories involving Carl's Jr.

"Driving to Las Vegas, my dad would take the family and we'd stay at Circus Circus and we always stopped at Carl's Jr," she says.

"I remember this food fight my sisters and I all had in the back of the van – it was so funny. We got in so much trouble!" Do you think Kim Kardashian and Carl's Jr. will make for fun viewing?

Audrina Patridge Promotes the Carl's Jr. "Bikini Burger"

Earlier this month we saw a behind the scenes video of The Hills star, Audrina Patridge, filming a new Carl's Jr. advertisement. The completed commercial was released yesterday. The ad is for the limited edition Teriyaki Burger and pays tribute to Patridge's amazing physique. She claims that she has to give up everything to have such a great bikini bod, but the one thing she can't live without is of course, the Teriyaki Burger with grilled pineapple. While I certainly don't believe that Patridge consumes burgers at the beach on a regular basis, I think she looks sexy and find the ad far less offensive than Paris Hilton's disgustingly seductive commercial. Audrina Patridge Is New Carl's Jr. Spokesperson

Turns out you don't have to wait for the next season of The Hills to catch more of Audrina Patridge: later this month, she'll be following fellow temptress Padma Lakshmi's lead and starring in a new commercial for Carl's Jr. promoting the chain's Teriyaki Six Dollar Burger.

The Hills regular filmed on location in Malibu, donning a barely there, gold lamé bikini and noshing on burgers while laying on the beach. "It was my first experience shooting a spot with food, and . . . I was literally salivating looking at all the rows and rows of perfect burgers waiting for me," she said.

I'm rather skeptical about burgers being Audrina's "one indulgence." I'll be curious to see if her ad, which airs on June 24 - the same day the burger launches - will be as steamy as Paris Hilton's or Padma's previous Carl's Jr. commercials. Check out the footage below and tell me what you think.

Padma's New Gig as Carl's Jr. Spokeswoman

Following in the footsteps of Paris Hilton, Top Chef hostess, Padma Lakshmi, is the latest spokeswoman of Carl's Jr. Lakshmi appears in a new commercial that depicts her seductively eating a Western bacon hamburger.

Of the ad, Padma told People that it's "a beautiful love song to food. I think eating in itself is the act of great sensuality, so all you have to do is point the camera in the right direction." However, after watching a video of it, I'm not so sure if the words "beautiful" and "love song" are the best descriptors.

Hanging With One of LA's Hottest Nightclub Owners

Les Deux is undeniably one of Los Angeles' most trendy bars. Paris and Nicky Hilton have a private table, and so does Jamie Foxx. The Hills girls kick up their heels on the dance floor and everyone from TV Guide to Tom Hanks has hosted parties inside the famed house's walls.

While in LA for the Sugar Party, I had the chance to slide behind the velvet ropes, check out the party scene - more on that later! - and chat with one of the owners, Sylvain Bitton. To see what Sylvain had to say about his party lifestyle as a nightclub owner, read more.
Devilishly good looking and impeccably dressed, Sylvain is a member of the Dolce Group, part owner of Les Deux, and host to some of Hollywood's hottest. He spends most of his time at Les Deux, arriving as early as 10 a.m. and staying until the place closes. Although he caters to the stars, Sylvain is a friendly, normal, down to earth guy, who just happens to have three motorcycles and a house in the Hollywood Hills. Here is what he had to say:

PartySugar: What's it like being a host to LA's rich and famous?
Sylvain Bitton: It's fun. We are a very rare situation. Trendy nightclubs come and go, but we're just as popular now as when we first opened. We offer something incomparable. Les Deux isn't really a place for hard partying and dancing. It's more of a social nightclub. We offer the whole experience. It's a place where normal people feel like celebrities and celebrities feel like normal people. After all, you have to remember, they [the celebrities] need me as much as I need them.

PS: What trends are emerging in the party/nightclub scene?
SB: Immaculate service and attention to the smallest details in the world. The smell of a place matters. I have a guy whose job it is to spray this place with Febreeze. I think smaller restaurants and smaller boutique clubs that take their guests on a journey are on the rise.
PS: What's the biggest disaster that has ever happened at one of your parties?
SB: Not enough room. Sometimes we get a couple celebrities here at once and it's hard to accommodate them all. Just last night Rihanna was here. Journey was here.

PS: What do you like most about owning a place like Les Deux?
SB: The control of making my ideas and visions happen and it being a success. All the people who come inside of Les Deux, I decide the fate of their night. This is a beautiful club, which deserves to be filled with beautiful people.

PS: What's your advice to the everyday hostess?
SB: Know what you want and be strict to get it. Have something no one else is going to offer. That's how your parties will be remembered.

PS: A successful party is...
SB: When time never matters. I know it's already been said, but when you dance like no one is watching. When you don't care who's next to you because you are having so much fun then everything about what the club has to offer will forever be a memory.

Versace Does Chocolate

Could it be that the food world is suddenly a super trendy place to see and be seen? With Eva Longoria opening a restaurant and Paris Hilton launching a brand of canned champagne, it's only natural that the lady who dresses these gals would jump on the bandwagon. Donatella Versace - commonly known for her curve hugging dresses and long blond locks - has recently announced a luxury line of chocolates.

Unfortunately, these one-of-a-kind chocolates are not for sale and will not be available to the masses. The chocolates will only be sampled by a select elite who are invited to one of Versace's Chocolate & Champagne in-store events. Guests will sample the decadent chocolates with specific champagne pairings.

If you want to attend one of these events, head to a Versace near you and inquire about invitations. It's what FabSugar and I plan on doing! How about you? Have you heard anything else about it?

Summer Reading: Be My Guest

When I first started hosting parties back in 2002, the glossy themed party planning book, Be My Guest: Theme Party Savoir-Faire by Rena Sindi was on my Christmas list. Luckily my mom always shops by my lists and on December 25th the shiny new book full of fabulous ideas was waiting for me under the tree. In the book, Rena invites readers to come party with her as she chronicles 14 of New York's high society themed parties - ones that she actually staged and planned herself. Not only are the photos of socialites - yes, that is a pre-famous Paris Hilton on the cover - and celebrities gorgeous to look at, but Sindi has plenty of amazing ideas. Similar to my party plans, she provides the details on all the major pieces of a theme party: the dress, invitations, venue, decor, menu, drinks, entertainment, and music. The food recipes - caviar on potato crisps with creme fraiche or goat cheese bundles with spring salad and yellow lentil vinaigrette - are not for novice cooks, but the cocktail recipes - white chocolate martinis or strawberry mojitos - are varied and exciting. Her musical selections are easy to enjoy and pair perfectly with each theme. This book has honestly inspired my career as a party planner!

Booze Belt: Love It Or Hate It?

geeksugar is the best web surfer I know - she is always sending me fabulous and interesting links. Lately I've been obsessing about this big picnic/party I'll be attending this weekend on a huge cattle ranch, and that's why she showed me this fabulous/crazy Booze Belt. This thick belt allows you to strap on two bottles of alcohol (not included) and hold six shot glasses (included in the $89.00 price tag). I don't know about you guys, but I find this belt disgusting, hysterical, and fantastic all at the same time. There are only 2 people who could get away with wearing it: a bartender and Paris Hilton.
