There are thousands of potato salad variations out there, but sometimes nothing beats good, old-fashioned classic potato salad. You know what kind I'm talking about: the potato salad that's coated in a creamy mayonnaise dressing and dotted with hard-boiled eggs.

Sure, you can pick it up at every grocery store and deli in America, but why not whip up a large batch of it at home? This recipe is straightforward: you boil some potatoes and toss them with a bunch of chopped veggies and a mayo-mustard sauce.

Although capers aren't a traditional ingredient, their salty, briny quality is welcomed in this salad. Prepare it a day in advance, so the potato salad has plenty of time to chill. For my favorite recipe, keep reading.

I'm trying not to be sad, but with the arrival of Labor Day comes the inevitable end of Summer. To keep my spirits up, I'm crafting the ultimate Labor Day party menu. It's full of Summer's best ingredients. To start, I recommend a surf-inspired decadent and gooey seafood dip. For the main course, burgers, specifically double cheeseburgers seasoned with smoky cheddar, fruity chutney, and peppery arugula. On the side? Classic sour cream potato salad that's full of green onions and crisp bacon and a fun take on the regular caprese salad: roasted tomato and mozzarella "burgers." Classic Potato Salad: Love It or Hate It?

I'm not afraid to admit I love a good potato salad, especially when paired with a burger or hot dog at a barbecue on a hot Summer day. As long as it's fresh from the fridge and has a generous sprinkle of ground black pepper, I'm perfectly happy eating a heaping bowl of potato salad. However, I know not everyone is a fan of the mayonnaise-based dish, and I'm wondering: how do you feel about it?
