Hayden Panettiere has signed a deal with Candie's in which the fashion brand will help promote the Heroes star's first single "Wake Up Call", Billboard reports.
According to Hollywood Reporter, Adam Sandler's production company Happy Madison will produce a thriller called Shortcut under the name Scary Madison.
The Associated Press has a report about this weekend's academic conference studying Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Variety has the news that Tucker Max's bestselling book I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell will be adapted for the big screen.
Zap2it has Fox's updated Fall premiere dates, with shows now starting in September, not August.
Brittany Murphy and Thora Birch will star in an indie psychological thriller titled Deadline, ComingSoon reports.
Variety writes that F. Gary Gray will direct a biopic of Marvin Gaye called Marvin.

Pizza Hut has just introduced a Pizza Hut shortcut tool that sits right on your desktop and allows you to build customized orders. It's both Mac and PC friendly and makes online ordering a breeze.

To install, just click on the "Get it Now" button, then"Yes" for Adobe Air (it will skip this step if you already have), then click "Install," "Continue," then "Agree." And voila, you're all set to get started on your yummy pizza ordering frenzy!

Click "Create and Share!" on the left hand side
Choose "Blog"

Click on the "Add Image" link below the "body" box
A popup window will happen - click on "Browse" to find your image on your computer
Once you have the image chosen, click "Submit"
The popup will show you your image, choose size: "normal" - if you want, you can give it a title (which will show up as a caption)
Click "Insert" and the popup will go away
Your "body" box will now have some text in it. Leave it as is. If you want to add some text before the picture telling me why you love the download, do it before the code that has appeared.
Click Submit

No More Waiting for Butter

Have you ever decided to make a batch of cookies only to realize that the butter is cold or frozen? Waiting for butter to come to room temperature can take forever (and ever and ever and ever... believe me I've timed it). If you don't have the time to wait forever, you might want to try this trick: grate the butter into a large mixing bowl. This way you'll increase the surface area and the individual pieces will come to room temperature faster.

Last year, Twitter completely revamped its web interface, adding helpful features and making it easier to use. Despite the number of apps across different platforms, Twitter.com is still the most popular way to use Twitter. If you (like me) prefer to use the web interface, there are a number of keyboard shortcuts you can use to navigate the page, message, reply, or favorite a tweet, view user profiles, and more.

For example, to favorite a tweet, select that tweet and press "f." To compose a new tweet, type "n," or compose a direct message using "m." The shortcuts are intuitive enough to pick up quickly, and after using them for just a few hours, I got the hang of it.

Whenever I come across something like these adorably geeky Shortcut Posters ($20 each) from Etsy shop birdAve, it makes me want to redecorate my home office ASAP.

Although I have most of these Mac shortcuts memorized, I wouldn't mind them hanging on my wall to add a touch of tech flavor and color to an otherwise bare room. I'll admit that I haven't done much in the way of decorating my own home office, but I'd love to get some inspiration from you - won't you share your home office (or work office) designs with me in our Capture Your Cube group? How to Use Google's New Knowledge Graph

In an effort to improve and smarten up search results, Google launched the Knowledge Graph today. Previously, Google's search algorithm matched a string of letters or keywords to websites containing those letters, but keywords often have deeper meanings than face value. Google created the Knowledge Graph in response to the need for a more intelligent search model that better understands the people, places, and things that users are looking for.

Intended to include more appropriate search results, the Knowledge Graph also includes an organized array of basic facts, maps, and pictures to enrich the results. We've outlined below the three points you need to know when using the Knowledge Graph:

What terms to use: As of now, the Knowledge Graph only pulls results for people, places, or groups (like bands). Type in terms such as "Wes Anderson," "Houston, Texas," or "The Strokes" to see the Knowledge Graph in action. Type in a longer query like "keyboard shortcuts for mac," and Google will return to its classic results page format.

Go Ahead, Cheat a Little: 4 Easy Diet and Fitness Shortcuts

Sometimes being healthy can be a major time suck. There's hitting the gym every day, making sure to cook healthy, and so much more that goes into maintaining a healthy lifestyle. But it doesn't always have to be that way. Between eating right and fitting in exercise, there are a few shortcuts you can take when being perfect seems unthinkable. Best of all, none of these shortcuts skimp out on health. Here's a look at the standard gold rules of a healthy lifestyle and the shortcuts that go with them!

1. Eat Fresh Fruits and Veggies
When it comes to diet, the ideal is to eat as close to the natural source as possible: fresher is better, and organic rules all. Let's be real though, sometimes prepping fresh veggies seems like a pain or we're not able to fit in enough fresh fruit between meals.

The shortcut: Rather than forgoing fruits and veggies altogether, always keep frozen produce stocked. In the morning, throw some frozen berries in a smoothie or on top of cereal or yogurt. At night, quickly heat up a serving of frozen veggies to go with any meal. Still without your fruit and veggie fix? Have a snack of unsweetened dried fruit and stock your pantry with canned fruits and veggies that haven't been doused in salt and sugar - think unsweetened applesauce and sugar- and salt-free stewed tomatoes. Even if it didn't fall off of the farmer's truck, these are all ways to get the nutrients that veggies and fruit provide.

2. Get Enough Sleep
Wouldn't it be great if eight hours of sleep each night was a reality? Proper sleep increases brain function and promotes weight loss. But if you miss out on a good night's rest, it may result in a host of problems including irritability, heart disease, and overindulging.

The shortcut: On days when you're short on sleep, make like your 5-year-old self and grab a nap. Studies show that naps lower the risk of heart disease and naps also help with memory. To help increase the amount of deep sleep you're getting, start small by getting to bed 15 minutes earlier than you normally do. Continue this pattern for a few weeks to add a full hour onto your sleep schedule! If the above still seems unimaginable, find a few minutes throughout your day to meditate; this will help clear your mind while also helping to decrease stress.

A cluttered desktop is an unhappy desktop. See the return of a happy, fast-moving desktop by eliminating its clutter with today's Spring cleaning tip. You may think that keeping programs and often used folders within view makes you productive, but the scattered appearance leads to a scattered work appearance. Use our tips for desktop folder organization to create a constructive atmosphere.

Remove software shortcuts - You think you're saving yourself a few clicks by keeping a desktop shortcut. Instead keep it clear by pinning the most used programs to your Windows taskbar or Mac dock. The program's still available with the click of a button, and your desktop is kept mess-free.
Frequent folder program - First of all, create folders for several often-used subjects like downloads, photos, and documents. Pin those frequent folders to the taskbar or dock by dragging them to their respective OS locations. The folders' contents are still within easy, yet invisible, clicking distance.
Not-so-frequent folders - Create folders for those in-between needs like bills or silly online photos, then actually use said folders. The desktop stays clear by dropping each new addition into its proper folder as it's downloaded.
Mind the trash can - Enhance your daily habit of folder organizing, with a weekly habit of emptying the trash or recycle bin on your desktop. Lose the images that serve no better purpose than taking up space.

If you've moved to Gmail recently (congratulations!), it's possible that you could get overwhelmed with all of the options, settings, and possibilities at your fingertips. We've got a ton of tips to share, but let's start with a few basic and handy tips that you could use every day. Check them out below!

Make voice calls - You can easily make voice calls in Gmail on the cheap. In the "Chat" section, just click the "Call Phone" button and enter the digits. You'll then be able to make free calls to landlines the US and Canada, and for super cheap you can call cell phones and landlines worldwide.
Search with options - If you haven't discovered the "Show Search Options" link to the right of the Gmail search bar, you're in for a treat. Clicking it reveals a host of helpful options, including the ability to search by sender, date, attachment, subject, and more. It's extremely helpful if you are less than diligent about labeling and filing emails in your inbox.
Use rich text signatures - Tired of those boring text-only signatures or canned responses coming from your Gmail account? Take note: Gmail supports rich text signatures! Add links, colors, images, or formatting to your Gmail account signature, or any other account you've set up to send from Gmail. It's super easy to set up - just head to your settings page, scroll down to the Signature section, and design away!
