If you tell me that there's not a single chocoholic on your holiday shopping list, I'm going to have to call you a liar. Everyone knows at least one — they may be a closet fiend, but they're on your list — and luckily, they're easy to shop for. You could rush out and buy them a box of generic sweets, but why stop there?

Chipotle doesn't just want to feed its customers — it wants to educate them, too. The fast-casual food chain has teamed up with Magnolia Pictures, Participant Media, and River Road Entertainment to promote Food, Inc., a documentary that exposes issues with the food industry in America. Beginning today, Chipotle Mexican Grill will host free screenings of the film.

Subway's ready to test the waters again with spokesperson Michael Phelps: This past Sunday during the US national swimming championships, the sandwichmaker began airing commercial spots starring the Olympic gold medalist. Phelps' year got off to a rocky start when a photo surfaced in February of him smoking marijuana out of a bong.
Within days, USA Swimming had suspended the Olympian from the sport for three months, and Kellogg's decided not to renew its contract with Phelps.

Normally, I am the queen of the kitchen, but recently my sister and her best friend decided to treat me to a homemade dinner. Trish, my sister, is incredibly smart, so I wasn't surprised when she asked Chef Chris Behr, of San Francisco's SPQR, for an easy and delicious appetizer idea. He suggested making a thick white-bean puree for crostini.

When it comes to sweet treats, it doesn't get much simpler than a sugar cookie. But this basic biscuit is also incredibly versatile, which is what makes sugar cookies so much fun.
You can cut them in shapes, color them with food coloring, or cover them in icing and sprinkles for various holidays.

Today is World Food Day, an event that aims to heighten public awareness of the international hunger epidemic. Created in 1979 by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, World Food Day is celebrated in over 150 countries.
To commemorate the day, I've put together a quiz with fun food facts from countries all over the world.
