While I have several baking spatulas, I only have one flipping spatula. This has started to drive me crazy because every time I need to flip a fish fillet or gently turn over a grilled cheese, the spatula is dirty and I risk burning my dish while I hastily wash the spatula. I asked you to help me solve my problem by searching the Internet for this long, durable kitchen utensil.

While recently cooking in my parents' kitchen, I couldn't find a suitable spatula. All of their spatulas were old, burnt, or too stiff. To remedy the solution, I asked you to help me get them a new spatula.

Last week I found myself baking in my parents' kitchen. To my horror, I couldn't find a suitable spatula. All of their spatulas were old, burnt, or too stiff.

Every year, my mom gives a big box of cookies to all of her friends, neighbors and clients. I know because I spend the better half of a weekend curling ribbons for all of the packages. This year I'm helping her branch out of her comfort zone and have come up with a few fun ideas for her neighbors.

Cooking should never be a chore and as much as I take myself super seriously in the kitchen, sometimes it's necessary to be reminded that it's just food and it's most enjoyable when it's fun and fabulous. Whimsical and fun gadgets/tools are a great way to lighten up your kitchen. Lucky for me, you have already found tons and saved them in the Yum Market on TeamSugar.

One of my favorite things about the Yum Market is checking out all these great whimsical items that make me feel like a kid. En masse, they're a bit "too much," but can you imagine just one of these poking out in a grown up house? Cute little mushroom salt and pepper shakers would look adorable on a formal table.

A spoon rest is a handy kitchen tool that sits on stovetops. In between sautéing and stirring, it's a safe place to rest the spatula or spoon you're using. Sadly, I don't own one and the other day when I was making macaroni and cheese, I finally decided it's time to invest in this practical kitchen essential.
