I like to get my week off to the right start by making a square meal at home, but Mondays often wind up being hectic and frazzled. Thankfully, I've come across a dish that pleases everyone, doesn't require too much time or effort, and calls for only a handful of ingredients, including sirloin, which I have on hand. It reminds me of the pepper steak my mother made for me growing up.

During the Summer I'm always looking for innovative new ways to serve stone fruit. While I've had my fair share of nectarine salads and muddled cherry cocktails, I've never enjoyed a peach stir-fry.
This creative and scrumptious dish combines succulent peaches with snow peas, tofu, and water chestnuts.

For dinner tonight, opt for a straightforward meal that won't have you spinning wheels. Take advantage of market-fresh items like asparagus and sugar snap peas to make a healthy yet hearty vegetarian noodle stir-fry.
Apple cider vinegar and fresh ginger add zing, while a handful of walnuts add meatiness and crunch.

I love making quick, Asian inspired dishes because usually they only involve cleaning one pan! For example, this recipe for a fragrant chicken dinner, cooks the meat, vegetables, and sauce all in the same pan. Each ingredient is sautéed individually before being tossed together with the sherry-sesame oil sauce.

A few months ago, I was hanging out with my mom and she was frying up some delicious fish balls. There's a place in LA that, according to her, makes the "best fish balls." She had just recently come into a batch, and so she was making an impromptu feast.

Never underestimate the extreme flavor power of fresh squeezed citrus juice. The acidity stops foods from oxidizing and adds a bright unprocessed taste to quick fix foods. The juice from one orange is used to jazz up a simple beef stir-fry.

Chock full of crunchy vegetables and Asian flavors, this vegetarian stir-fry is hearty and delectable. The meal comes together in minutes, because the vegetables — bok choy, snow peas, radishes, and spinach — are flash cooked in a large sauté pan. Meaty, soy-glazed tofu and a fresh ginger vinaigrette add layers of delicious depth to the veggies.

Yesterday I invited my sister over for dinner because I decided that we were going to try and master one of my mom's classic dishes. It's best described as stir fried beef with gravy and vegetables, but we lovingly call it "na ge niu rou" (which literally translates to "that cow meat").
Now, my mom has made this dish (or a variation of this dish) a thousand times and you'd think that I'd have tried cooking it by now.
