Lately fast food chain Jack in the Box has been getting a lot of publicity. First there was the ad campaign — that debuted at the Super Bowl — in which its brand's fictitious face, Jack, was hit by a bus. Although Jack lies in a coma, the company asked consumers to show their support by enjoying free curly fries and free tacos.

She spoke about how her $18 million empire makes her queasy, how she's not embarrassed to promote Dunkin Donuts, her love of Anthony Bourdain, and her pictures in FHM. With the recession, Ray — who's known for her fun affordable meals — is extremely accessible.

Last June, I discovered the sweet virtue of dried hibiscus flowers. I picked them up at Trader Joe's and, on a whim, stirred them into a pitcher of lemonade. The hibiscus lent a sweet, tart flavor, as well as a beautiful blush color.
