Although I don't consider myself the most patriotic person, I love a good 4th of July celebration! With its warm weather, barbecue dinner, and fireworks finish, chances are you enjoy the nation's birthday party, too. If you haven't decided what to serve your family and friends, consider whipping up a meal that is all-American.

Super Bowl XLIII is less than a week away, but this year, lovers of the chicken wing — game day's unofficial snack — will be enjoying their poultry on a wing and a prayer. Since few Super Bowl parties are without chicken wings, consumer demand, as it generally is during football season, is sky-high. Unfortunately, the supply for chicken wings is way down.

From pickled jalapeños to chipotle chile chocolate bars, I love spicy food, but if I were forced to pick a favorite, I'd have to go with spicy buffalo chicken. Not only is it the ultimate comfort food, but the tender chicken is also crispy, zippy, and tangy all at once.
Whether you're looking for the perfect Super Bowl party platter or you simply want something to fulfill your quest for spice, look no further than these buffalo chicken recipes.

Hoping to boost this year's sales — and prove that it's still "waaaay better than fast food" — fast food chain Wendy's has announced plans to unveil a new menu item, boneless chicken wings, later this month. The boneless wings — which will compete head to head with KFC's new Kentucky Grilled Chicken — come in three different flavors: Sweet & Spicy Asian, Honey BBQ, and Bold Buffalo. "Our new Boneless Wings are as far as it gets from fast food," Ken Calwell, Wendy's chief marketing officer, said.

No matter what kind of turkey you'll be having this year, there's one question you'll need the answer to: What temperature does a turkey need to reach in order be considered "done"?
Until last year, the USDA recommended cooking turkey to an internal temperature of 180ºF. But based on the fact that bacteria threat salmonella cannot withstand temperatures of 160ºF after 30 seconds, the FDA now suggests a minimum internal temperature of 165ºF as measured by a food thermometer in the innermost part of the thigh and wing and the thickest part of the breast.

A few weeks ago, my sister and I found ourselves at a Buffalo Wild Wings — how had I never heard of this chain before? — contemplating their multitude of bbq sauces. They have 14 different kinds to choose from and eventually we settled on Mango Habanero (which was absolutely delicious) and Spicy Garlic.
