We got this blender a cpl of years ago, thinking that since the stand mixer works so well, it would be the same with the blender. BUT since the beginning it was a pain in the butt! The sucka always leaves me with chunks of fruits in my smoothies.

Here's the dilemma: For my wedding *yes, it was two years ago we got TONS of silverware. In fact, we had so many extra sets that we returned a lot of them and now have a gift certificate to Dillards (since they only give store credit). I've used up part of it but still have $100 left.

Ok, Jen said she'd never made Mashed Potatoes before, so I made them last night and took pictures. I love my recipe, but I make them very plain, so this is a Basic basic basic mashed potatoes recipe.
I made just enough for me and the hubby, so I only used two potatoes.

Holleighz’ 52 Weeks of Baking – Week 3: Lemon Drop Cupcakes
Earlier this week, my mom celebrated her birthday, and she had one special request – cupcakes from me. Since she lives states away and cupcakes are not exactly the most shippable pastry, this meant a flawless original recipe. Her favorite flavor is vanilla, but she saw my vanilla bean cupcakes already.

Inspired by YumSugar’s “52 Weeks of Baking” and the success of last week’s cupcakes, I have decided to take on my own weekly baking challenge. Of course, I waited until the last day of week two to make this decision, the same day Boston was swept by a massive snowstorm. Ok, I admit, the weather was not that bad, but it was enough to discourage me from trekking across slippery, slushy sidewalks to the grocery.
