GOP senator says Obama showing Nixonian tendencies
WASHINGTON – The third-ranking Senate Republican said Wednesday the Obama administration appears to be launching a Richard Nixon-like political strategy of making an "enemies list" of people who disagree with the president.
Sen. Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, who once worked in President Nixon's administration, warned the White House that such a "street brawl" approach of attacking political opponents "can get you in a lot of trouble."

Fox News is "operating basically as talk radio," President Obama suggested in an interview airing today.
After weeks of public feuding between the cable news channel and the president's top aides, Obama seemed to agree with statements by his advisers that Fox is not a real "news station."
"I think what our advisers have simply said is that we are going to take media as it comes," Obama told NBC's Savannah Guthrie.

“This is not an excuse,” the managing editor of The New York Times said after offering the following excuse for completely missing the Van Jones story, except in a blog post: “Our Washington bureau was somewhat short-staffed during the height of the pre-Labor Day vacation period.”

Here’s how long-staffed The New York Times actually is. Long after Glenn Beck reported — back in July — that Jones was history’s first communist czar, and even after Gateway Pundit reported, on Sept. 3, that Jones had signed a wackadoodle 9/11 “truther” petition, The Times sent two reporters to Boston (in a story published Friday, Sept.

Brandon Flowers sits bolt upright in his train seat. So handsome you feel like putting a paper bag over your head the minute you meet him, his teeth a gleaming testament to the might of American dentistry, he is nevertheless not merely visibly uncomfortable but audibly uncomfortable, too.

Violent crime has plummeted in the Washington area and in major cities across the country, a trend criminologists describe as baffling and unexpected.
The District, New York and Los Angeles are on track for fewer killings this year than in any other year in at least four decades. Boston, San Francisco, Minneapolis and other cities are also seeing notable reductions in homicides.

I finally caught the premiere episode of the Real Housewives of New York City and I was not disappointed. Those of us who watch the Real Housewives series, know that these shows are only as good as the drama the ladies and the husbands at times bring to the show. How can we forget drama on the Real Housewives of Atlanta and at times there were flare-ups between the OC women.

A World Of Trouble For Obama
By Jackson Diehl
Monday, April 20, 2009
New American presidents typically begin by behaving as if most of the world's problems are the fault of their predecessors -- and Barack Obama has been no exception. In his first three months he has quickly taken steps to correct the errors in George W. Bush's foreign policy, as seen by Democrats.

Rosie O’Donnell was on “The Today Show” this morning promoting her new variety show, “Rosie Live,” which premieres Wednesday night at 8pm on NBC. She was inevitably asked about the rekindled feud with Barbara Walters, in which Walters said she resented O’Donnell’s recent statement that there was no camaraderie backstage and suggested that O’Donnell mentioned it for publicity. Walters didn’t refer to O’Donnell by name when she criticized her and just said it was someone who had left the show, who she called “lady” in a harsh tone.

Why has America turned on Sarah Palin? Obviously, her wobbly television interviews haven't helped. Nor have the drip, drip of scandals from Alaska, which have tarnished her reformist image.
