Any Starbucks regular can attest that it must be doing something right, but that doesn't mean they are doing it all. The company has created a virtual idea and complaint box of sorts: My Starbucks Idea allows customers to share ideas, ask questions, and learn about what they're doing behind the scenes.
It's a PR stint in most senses, but it does allow you the satisfaction of knowing you're putting your genius ideas out there.

KHIMKI, Russia (Reuters) - Starbucks opened its first coffee shop in Russia on Thursday, two years after it won a legal battle to protect the right to its brand in the fast-growing Russian market.
"This is an important step for the company, and we are looking forward to being a part of every day life for Russians," said Cliff Burrows, president of Starbucks Europe, Middle East and Africa, as he opened the cafe.
The newest Starbucks in the worldwide chain of around 10,000 outlets is in the Mega shopping mall in Khimki, just north of Moscow.

I'm somewhat addicted to reading the Starbucks Gossip blog. I don't know why, I've never worked there (though I've often thought about it). I think I just like behind the scenes stuff about anything and as a corporation I find Starbucks very interesting.

I was just wondering, in areas around the world, are you Starbucks attached to bookstores? Here in Peterborugh, ON, our starbucks is inside the Chapters Bookstore where it has its own little alco. I was just wondering, if this is the case with your own starbucks....do people look at magazines while they enjoy their beverages and sweet treats?

I'm not sure why you'd have to pay for used coffee grounds, but Starbucks is giving away their coffee grounds for free, to be used in your garden. I say, just use your own and avoid that place altogether, but here's some stuff from their website:
Coffee grounds can provide a valuable source of nutrition for your garden if used properly. The proper amount to be used depends on the condition of the soil and, more specifically, what you are growing in your garden.
