I kind of eyeball things so I'm going to tell you the maximum amounts that I use and (I ususally adjust some of the meat to my taste).
1lb ground beef
1lb ground sausage
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
1 can diced tomatoes
1 large block of Velveeta cheese
Milk (I suggest using 2% for this recipe)
Brown ground beef, then sausage. Add to slow cooker with Velveeta and add milk as you see fit.

Non-Organic Organic Food
by Jim Hightower
When it comes to a healthy diet, I am not a purist. Too late for that because I grew up eating such culinary concoctions as toasted sandwiches constructed of Spam, white bread and that oddly orange, oddly spongy cheeselike stuff known as Velveeta.
As an adult, I even have been irresponsible enough to serve as a taster, judge and promoter of Spam creations that were served at a now-defunct annual event held in my town of Austin, Texas.

My boyfriend will be leaving for his first tour at the end of the year and we have been avoiding the topic for a long time. Now that it is soon appraching I have taken an interest in doing everything I can to be prepared.
Well, I recently came across USMC gals ( http://www.usmcgals.com/ ), an online community for all those people who have a loved one in the military.

I gotta say, this stuff isn't half bad! As a self-described (former) cheese whore, I was very skeptical about dairy free macaroni and cheese, but I was pleasantly surprised. No, it doesn't taste like Kraft or Velveeta, but it's fairly good.

But Enough About Me: A Jersey Girl's Unlikely Adventures Among the Absurdly Famous
By Jancee Dunn
2006
As a Jersey Girl myself, I was thrilled to read this book when my good friend lent it to me.
But Enough About Me was written by Jancee Dunn, who grew up in New Jersey and ended up working as a journalist for Rolling Stone and a veejay MTV2 (back when it was still called M2).
Jancee Dunn
The book is a memoir, with Dunn's story of growing up a fashion-challenged teen in late-80's Jersey, interspersed with interview tips and anecdotes about Dunn hanging out with some of the most famous people in the world.
