I spent a lot of time on allrecipes yesterday, scouring the site for lots of new and different dishes. We're a little cash poor at the moment with the advent of the holidays, so I'm trying to make the most of what we actually have in the house right now. And this is one of the recipes that caught my eye - and had some fabulous reviews!

This is the second time that Ive made this cajun rub from Mme Hart (posted here: http://teamsugar.com/group/30207/recipes/268923). The first was for a :bbq: in June and the second was for our 4th of July :bbq:
It is SO delicious! Here is all you have to do:
Buy some chicken
Arrange your spices
Mix them all up
Shake it like a polaroid piiiiiiiiicture
Actually, what I really do is peel back the skin and dust/smoosh on the dry rub.

This stuff ROCKS on many different things: chicken, catfish, halibut, etc (I hear it's good on shrimp but I'm too allergic to try it or even touch it).
I usually make a big batch and keep it in an airtight container. It only lasts a couple months in our house as I tend to use this a LOT!

Picture it 1997.......it's a sunny May morning in northeast Louisiana. Four girls load up in a Honda Accord and head to Panama City, Florida to celebrate graduating high school. And on their toes?

As the numero uno carrier of heart healthy antioxidents out of any food known to man, red kidney beans should be a part of everyone's health regimen. Some people refuse to eat beans, though, because the...well, to put it politely..."after effects" can be disturbing (especially to bystanders!). If you place a raw red potato, unskinned but poked with a fork, into the beans while you cook them, the gas-producing enzyme will not be a problem.

If Jay Leno Wants Better Reviews He Can Start By Removing the Lapel Flag
by John Nolte
Critics love David Letterman. They love him because he’s mean and liberal and does everything they demand: further the leftist agenda through the brutal use of humiliation to target any public figure (or their child) who might derail Leftist causes.
And contrary to conventional wisdom, Letterman’s not edgy.

Nothing to do with the book, but Hot Stupid is half naked
I can’t say this enough, but I am truly glad I waited until the first season of True Blood to wrap before I read the book, ‘Dead Until Dark.’ I was hearing the grumblings about the plot differences, and now I get it. So, why the major changes? And again why no Bubba?

**This contains big time spoilers. If you haven’t watched the episode, I am advising you turn back now.**
Well folks, that’s it, no more True Blood this year. :( But, they did manage to go off in a blaze of glory.
