If you are looking for a one of a kind cake topper that you can't find on most of the wedding sites, you have GOT to check out www.topperswithglitz.com
Myself, my sister & my cousin all purchased a topper from Toppers With Glitz for our cakes last year. After spending hours on the internet, trying to find a unique topper, I came across their website and fell in love! Their service was outstanding and the owner is friendly.

The argument over whether same-sex couples should marry in the District is about a decade past its expiration date. The reality of people's lives long ago outstripped the usefulness of the gay marriage debate.
You can go to just about any public space in this city today and see same-sex couples: Two women picking over the tomatoes at the Anacostia farmers market; two men taking notes at a PTA meeting on Capitol Hill; two women arguing in a Georgetown restaurant over who does the dishes and who pays the bills -- the things all married couples do.

Champagne colored coconut cake with crushed almond filling and almond flavored buttercream icing. The scrollwork was done in a red that matched the bridesmaid dresses of the wedding party.
The base of each tier was completed with a row of dark chocolate covered coffee beans to reflect the couple's love for coffee.

**A friend just sent me these pictures that were taken at the actual reception well after I left. These give a better perspective that the cake was NOT leaning or crooked :rotfl: and how big that sucker actually was!**
A divided cake with white roses and greenery separating the tiers sitting on satiny fabric beds.
The bottom three tiers were white cake with strawberry filling and buttercream icing, each finished off with a row of buttercream pearls at the base of each cake.

♥ Fresh finds
Top your cake with fresh fruit or flowers. Sugar-icing and marzipan decorations are labor-intensive and costly. Think lightweight fruits that won't sink into the cake, such as cherries, strawberries or small bunches of sugared grapes.

This cake was made for a wedding on Saturday, March 8th, 2008. The cake was french vanilla with blueberry filling and vanilla buttercream icing. The outside of the cake was decorated with a scrollwork on the sides and a thin line of ribbon which had a border of green pearls at the base of each ribbon.

My mother is a reader of Woman's Day Magazine (whose recipes I usually love) and she passed on these 2 ingredient recipe cards to me. Sure, some of them are a little odd and I will probably never, ever attempt, but there were a few that immediately grabbed my attention and I can't wait to try out! (Pineapple with coconut sorbet...)
If you want the actually cards to print out and some additional ideas: http://www.womansday.com/food/6577/2-ingredient-recipe-cards.html, http://www.womansday.com/food/6373/none.html
Appetizers
Marinate mixed olives (jar) with freshly grated peel and juice from 1 lemon in refrigerator at least 24 hours.
