The food chains are taking precautions after the FDA issued a warning Saturday advising people to avoid eating certain types of tomatoes unless they come from states or other parts of the world not associated with the outbreak. Raw red Roma, raw plum and raw red round tomatoes were implicated in the outbreak, which has affected 145 people in the United States and resulted in 23 hospitalizations since mid-April, according to the federal Food and Drug Administration. - 4 Comments
