Would somebody be able to explain the difference between Bakeware and Cookware? Also, does it matter if I use glass or metal. I've always just used what I have but am wondering if I need to actually used what is called for...

Many of you already know about my Le Creuset Obsession but I wanted to give you a little more information on this amazing range of cookware so maybe you all will become Le Creuset Junkies as well. ...I really should work for them :innocent:
LE CREUSET ENAMELED CAST IRON COOKWARE
All the Le Creuset cookware is made from enameled cast iron. Cast iron has been used for cooking utensils since the Middle Ages.

Here's the dilemma: For my wedding *yes, it was two years ago we got TONS of silverware. In fact, we had so many extra sets that we returned a lot of them and now have a gift certificate to Dillards (since they only give store credit). I've used up part of it but still have $100 left.

OMG, I was browsing around Yahoo and found this great article about things guys like to hear from girls.
They convince me, I've used some of these tips myself in the past!
Just in time for Valentine's Day, how great is that?

Someone else mentioned this the other day (I think in Kitchen Goddess?) in regards to a slow cooker purchase, but Linens N Things is officially going out of business, and they are in the middle of liquidation sales on their website and in the stores. All sales are final, but there are some nice deals.
We're going this evening to pick up some fresh cookware, and I'm going to try my best to stay out of the kitchen appliances section.

So, we know how to do simple things in the kitchen in order to make it more green from this post , but what about energy saving in the kitchen generally? Here are some great tips and information on specific areas of the kitchen:
Dishwashing
~ If washing dishes by hand, fill one basin with warm soapy water and the other with cold rinse water. This saves much more water than leaving the cold water running for rinsing.

Clean & Green
Here's a collection of my favorite natural cleaning formulas, concoctions
and witches brews. MOST are safe and nontoxic, with a few exceptions which are clearly noted.
Use the ingredients listed below when making your own alternative cleaners, most are
inexpensive and you probably already have many of them in your kitchen cupboards.
