Cherry Chocolate Ice Cream & Almond Puff Pastry Sandwiches
Modified from Batch Family Mountain and Epicurious
For the ice cream:
1 1/2 cups sliced Bing, Lapin or Sweetheart cherries
1 pint whipping cream
1 pint half and half
2 egg yolks
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup shaved dark chocolate (or to taste)
For the puff pastry:
1 sheet frozen puff pastry (half of 17.3-ounce package), thawed
3 tablespoons sugar
1 cup sliced almonds (I was lazy and processed mine in a food processor)
1 large egg white
Whisk whipping cream, half and half, egg yolks, sugar and vanilla in a mixing bowl until sugar is dissolved. Add cherries and stir. Chill mixture for 30 minutes in freezer.
Meanwhile make the puff pastry: preheat oven to 400°F.

Hi everyone,
There is a makeup look that will never go out of fashion, that look would be the nude/neutral eye. I haven't done a huge tutorial in a long while, so I wanted to start again with this makeup look for you all. Click the image of the product to go to the producer's website (if it's still sold).

This is everything, minus five items I pulled out for swapping.
This was actually a pretty exhausting task...so you'd better enjoy, or else :impatient:.
Anyways, I'll start with my favorite beauty product ever...

My mother is a reader of Woman's Day Magazine (whose recipes I usually love) and she passed on these 2 ingredient recipe cards to me. Sure, some of them are a little odd and I will probably never, ever attempt, but there were a few that immediately grabbed my attention and I can't wait to try out! (Pineapple with coconut sorbet...)
If you want the actually cards to print out and some additional ideas: http://www.womansday.com/food/6577/2-ingredient-recipe-cards.html, http://www.womansday.com/food/6373/none.html

I made this recipe today from Rachael Ray Magazine Aug. 07. I made it as a lunch instead of breakfast and it was so filling.

This rich, juicy pie is perfect for the holidays. An easy, press-in dough in a springform pan makes it simple to handle, slice, and serve. The intensely flavored almond cream adds depth to the late-harvest plums, and if you're up for going the extra mile, the optional touch of anise in the crust ties it all together.
