I'm shopping for new dinnerware. We got ours after we got married, and the color is starting to fade - not to mention quite a few have been broken over the years. These are the ones I've been looking at and fab finding - needless to say, I like the square, affordable look since the kiddos are still young.

Hello SG!I am trying to throw a Luau dinner party for 12 guest and I am almost done with figuring everything out and now I am stuck. The party is in two weeks and I realized I don't have enough dinnerware for 12 people. Please help! I am trying to make this dinner party semi formal and I don't want to use paper plates. Does anyone know where I can get plain dinnerware for inexpensive? I hate to spend hundreds of dollars for dinnerware I will not need after the party. I live alone, what am I going to do with a dinnerware set for 12?

Martha Stewart is probably thinking, "I knew K-Mart was a bad idea…" A Pennsylvania couple is suing Martha Stewart and K-Mart, claiming the domestic diva's "Everyday" dinnerware contains lead and is responsible for poisoning their children.
In the lawsuit, filed on behalf of their two kids Michael and Matthew, Sandra and Raymond Dombroski allege the boys were poisoned by lead in the dinnerware, which caused the boys to suffer "mental, emotional and cognitive impairment, learning disability" as well as speech problems and physical impairment and a host of other problems.
Jeez, what are they feeding them for dinner?!

One of the fabulous things about my job is being surrounded by great design minds. With the seasonal whirlwind of decorating and entertaining swiftly upon us, I tapped west elm’s creative director of design – who is also an exceptional entertainer - Alex Bates to share her expertise and show us how to create a modern and chic mood flawlessly and easily without breaking the bank! I hope you love these as much as I do.
