*On a more personal note, I know some people that were involved in the White House entertainment. Chicago's Redmoon theater company was hired to provide entertainment on the lawn (the skeleton band and bubble installation amongst others). I've included some pictures at the end of the post.*
WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama on Saturday doled out presidential M&Ms and dried fruit mixes to more than 2,000 trick-or-treaters, marking their Halloween at a White House event partly aimed at honoring military families.

A certain miller had little by little fallen into poverty, and
had nothing left but his mill and a large apple-tree behind
it. Once when he had gone into the forest to fetch wood, an
old man stepped up to him whom he had never seen before, and
said, why do you plague yourself with cutting wood, I will
make you rich, if you will promise me what is standing behind
your mill. What can that be but my apple-tree, thought the
miller, and said, yes, and gave a written promise to the
stranger.

Before he went to sleep I told Salah – I will cook – sliced beef with shi take mushrooms and dried champignons. Oh he was drooling. Next day I had waited until 16:00 hrs and had not eaten anything – just tasted – only eaten fruit the whole day.

Not long ago I had an apple problem. Wavering in the produce section of a Manhattan grocery store, I was unable to decide between an organic apple and a nonorganic apple (which was labeled conventional, since that sounds better than "sprayed with pesticides that might kill you"). It shouldn't have been a tough choice--who wants to eat pesticide residue?--but the organic apples had been grown in California.
